David Letterman announces retirement

David Letterman, host of the Late Show on CBS, has announced that he is retiring in 2015. Letterman made the announcement during Thursday’s taping of the Late Show in New York. Letterman has been hosting late night television since 1982, debuting on NBC and moving to CBS in 1993, making his run the longest as a late night host in television history.
