Top Secret: License to Spy at COSI

03/14/2015 - 09/07/2015 - 10:00 am - 5:00 pm at COSI
333 W. Broad Street

Secret agents? A powerful supercomputer? Possible suspects? Uncover all of these and more in Top Secret: License to Spy, an exciting new exhibition making its North American debut at COSI on Saturday, March 14, 2015 and running through September 7, 2015.

COSI visitors will investigate leads, gather intelligence and uncover clues to solve a double-agent mystery. Top Secret: License to Spy is a fascinating journey into the secret, shadowy world of espionage, with hands-on activities like cracking the code on the lock of a transparent safe and using an oscilloscope to find a hidden bug.

COSI has also added more than 35 artifacts to Top Secret: License to Spy from the CIA Museum, the International Spy Museum the Cold War Museum, and Francis Gary Powers, Jr. The new artifacts include a U-2 flight suit, training materials, and a 40-foot-long Soviet SA-2 surface-to-air missile.

Additionally, Francis Gary Powers, Jr. will be available during a special preview for COSI Members on March 14 from 9am – 12pm and will hold a book signing from 1pm – 3pm. Francis Gary Powers, Jr. is the son of Francis Gary Powers, Sr., the American pilot whose CIA U-2 spy plane was shot down in 1960 during a reconnaissance mission over Soviet Union airspace, leading to the Cold War’s famous “U-2 Incident.” Francis Gary Powers, Jr. founded the Cold War Museum and is an expert public speaker on the U-2 Incident and Cold War history.

Top Secret: License to Spy is $5 with general admission and $4 with COSI Membership. Advance ticket purchase is strongly recommended. COSI is open Wednesday through Sunday, 10am – 5pm. For more information, visit
