Hey ladies..a good reason to PUT YOURSELF FIRST for a change!!
Hey ladies..a good reason to PUT YOURSELF FIRST for a change!!

Ladies, it is time to put yourself first!  And I know, that is really tough to do.  You know how when you fly on a plane, and the flight attendant goes over all the safety rules?  They tell you that “if the cabin loses pressure, your oxygen mask will fall” and basically, you need to put it on immediately.  They also tell you that if you are traveling with a small child you need to put yours on first BEFORE you then put the mask on the child. As a Mom, that goes against what we think is right, but you have to take care of yourself before you take care of them!  Same goes for your health.  February is GO RED FOR WOMEN month, to remind us all that HEART DISEASE is the NUMBER ONE KILLER OF WOMEN.  The good news is that it can be prevented, and maybe just by making some better choices…by “Putting on your oxygen mask first!”   I will do it if you will!!  :-)  All this month I will pass along great information to help.

My First Heart Healthy tip is my very favorite.  We all love Chocolate right, but by simply making a decision to eat DARK chocolate, you can be helping your heart!  Tell your Valentine to be sure to chose the Dark chocolates for you!
