If you’re late, get a doctor’s note
If you’re late, get a doctor’s note

You’ve seen those commercials for some disease you’ve never heard of and the prescriptions that are available to help cure what ails you. Will we see one for CLS?

A 57 year-old man in Scotland has been diagnosed by his doctor with CLS – Chronic Late Syndrome. No, its not a real disease, but the man’s doctor says the “made-up” condition comes from the same part of the brain as ADHD. Jim Dunbar can’t “focus” on how long things are going to take. He’s lost  jobs over it and has irritated friends and family with his chronic lateness.

But NOW he has a reason. Jim is sick. Jim has a condition. Jim has a made up disease.  Jim needs a new doctor. And Jim REALLY needs… a watch.
