Normally, I always get excited for The Super Bowl. It’s the “big game.” It’s got the years best commercials that will be discussed, enjoyed and dissed. And the food, drink and atmosphere is usually pretty festive and enjoyable too.
But this year the game has TWO strikes against it for me. One. I hate the Baltimore Ravens and I know “hate” is a strong word so let me put it another way- I REALLY hate the Baltimore Ravens. Two. I’m not looking forward to the two weeks of hype that will focus on the BRO BOWL, since Jim and John Harbaugh will once again be coaching against one another, ah but this time for the BIGGEST GAME OF THE YEAR! Whatever.
Between now and The Super Bowl, every piece of family minutia will be revealed and exploited in an effort to entertain and inform us about this collison course of football greatness. Then ( and this just me thinking out loud) no matter who wins, the brothers will go on CBS’s THE AMAZING RACE and win it all because they’re “brothers” and “winners” both ON and OFF the field. Ugh. See how I get when the STEELERS are out of it? Go, NINERS…I guess, and E-TRADE baby…those spots always make me chuckle.
