My phone went off with the BREAKING NEWS before my alarm did this morning – Kate Middleton was in labour and off to the hospital. The Royal Baby was coming! And I swear – for about a half a minute after reading that little blurb, I caught myself wondering what I should do next, as if I should’ve had a bag packed and at the ready.

I don’t know why we are so fascinated and anxious for the Royal Birth, but we are. A new heir to the throne of England. And a new life  to be exploited, photographed and followed for years to come. I swear – if the Royal Child knew what was waiting upon his or her arrival, it would crawl back in and snooze awhile longer, because then come all the ROYAL FIRSTS! The First Royal Baby Picture. The First Royal Baby Step. I don’t know… the First Royal Baby Poo? Don’t laugh. If someone could swipe it, they would sell it.
