EASTER SEALS ANNOUNCES 28th Turkey Trot
Columbus, OH – The 28th Annual Chase Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot will take place Thanksgiving morning, Thursday, November 26th at Whole Foods Market Upper Arlington. Last year over 7,000 participants joined in this family tradition which has been selected as both the best “Hometown Favorite” by Runners World Magazine and one of “America’s Best Turkey Trots” by Shape Magazine.
It’s the most fun you’ll ever have on Thanksgiving Day, guaranteed! The Original Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot to benefit Easter Seals Central and Southeast Ohio, offers two distances including the 5 Miler through The Ohio State University campus and around the stadium and the “Walk N’ Talk” 2.5 Miler. This is a morning of fun for the entire family. Strollers are welcome and with every adult registration, up to 2 children aged 10 and under can run for free in the McDonalds Tot Trot, where they’ll receive their own race shirt and finisher medal!
We will also be awarding 2,100 freshly baked Whole Foods pumpkin pies, finisher medals for all races and a chance to get out of the house and give back to your local community. Proceeds benefit Easter Seals, who last year alone helped more than 2,800 families with disabilities, including autism, to explore their full potential to play, learn and thrive in our neighborhoods right here in Central Ohio. The 2015 Turkey Trot race logo art was actually done by 2 year old Auron, a child in our Easter Seals Early Intervention program.
Start off this holiday season with some fun as a family, burn off some of those Thanksgiving calories and show your support Easter Seals at the same time!
