Actor Neil Patrick Harris donned a woman’s wig, a glittery bra and high-heeled shoes to accept his 2014 Man of the Year award from Harvard University’s Hasty Pudding Theatricals drama club.

The “How I Met Your Mother” star embraced the spirit of the event when he took to the stage wearing a dark hairpiece, a silver bra over his tuxedo and a pair of red heels to accept the honor.

He was accompanied to the platform by two men, and the gay actor delighted the audience by giving both his companions a smooch on the lips.

After the ceremony, Harris insisted he thoroughly enjoyed the event: “It’s an honor to be chosen as Hasty Pudding’s Man of the Year. I am sort of shocked by all of this. And have a lot to live up to… The year that I was born, Jack Lemmon won it and he’s like one of my heroes. So this has just been a super fun day. I didn’t know what to expect, everyone has been super saucy and super lovely and it’s a day I’ll remember forever.”

Harris’ honor comes after British actress Dame Helen Mirren accepted the Hasty Pudding Woman of the Year trophy last month and delighted the crowd by performing a twerking dance routine.
