Celebratory gunshot damages home

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Despite mounting a campaign to reduce the number of such incidents, Columbus police say officers responded to dozens of reports of celebratory gunfire after midnight Wednesday.

No injuries were reported but one Columbus family says they’re lucky to be alive after a celebratory bullet damaged their home.

WSYX-TV reports that a bullet ripped through one family’s home early yesterday morning, damaging their kitchen.

Police say officers investigated in several neighborhoods, despite a campaign to stop such celebrations.
