COLUMBUS, Ohio – The 2014 baseball season in Columbus begins tonight under the threat of rain and thunderstorms.

The Clippers take on the Indianapolis Indians at Huntington Park 7:05 p.m.

The game kicks off a seven-game home stand to open the club’s sixth season at the park.

Servicemen and women have been invited to throw out the ceremonial first pitch and the Franklin County Commissioners have donated their suite to the troops and their families for the evening.

The Clippers finished the 2013 season with a 71-73 record and led minor league baseball in average attendance with 9,212. A total of 635, 613 fans came through the turnstiles at Huntington Park last season.
