1 dead in shooting outside “boot joint”

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Police are looking for whoever gunned down a 29-year-old man outside a Northeast Side after-hours bar early Friday morning.

Lance Glenn was shot during an argument outside a “boot joint” known as the Body Shop, 954 E. Hudson Street, around 5:45 a.m., homicide detectives said.

Officers found Glenn lying in the intersection of Hudson Street and Howey Road and he was pronounced dead at the scene by Columbus medics, investigators said.

A preliminary investigation indicated Glenn and another person were arguing when Glenn was shot.

This was the 16th homicide of 2013 in Columbus.

Anyone with any information is asked to call the Columbus Police Homicide Unit at 614-645-4730.
