4 years in school voyeurism case

COLUMBUS, Ohio – A former theater director at a private school in Upper Arlington has been sentenced to four years in prison for videotaping female students in the nude.

Lawrence Dibble, 44, was sentenced for videotaping twenty female students, most of them younger than 18, using a camera he hid in a dressing room at the Wellington School.

Dibble, whose court records list a Mount Vernon, N.H., address, pleaded no contest in June to 17 felony counts of voyeurism and various misdemeanor charges.

The Columbus Dispatch reports a former student told police in 2010 that Dibble reached under her skirt during a rehearsal.

Police found at Dibble’s home videotapes captured between 2003 and 2006 with the hidden camera.
