Bucks blow past Gaels; Cyclones next

DAYTON, Ohio – Deshaun Thomas tallied 24 points to pace the second-seeded Ohio State Buckeyes to a 95-70 victory over the 15th-seeded Iona Gaels in the West Region of the NCAA Tournament.

The Buckeyes take on Iowa State on Sunday after the Cyclones crushed Notre Dame 76-58.

Sam Thompson totaled 20 points and 10 rebounds for Ohio State.

Tavon Sledge scored 20 points for Iona, which ends the season at 20-14.

Lamont “Momo” Jones was held to nine points and 3-of-14 shooting in defeat.
