COLUMBUS, Ohio – Dublin police say an 83-year-old man listed as an Endangered Missing Adult has been found safe may be headed for New York and could be endangered.
Stuart Staple, who suffers from dementia and terminal cancer, left an address on Hoss Lane in Dublin early Monday morning and was seen near Ashtabula, where an Ohio State Highway patrol trooper helped him with a tire change on I-90, police said.
He was found safe today in Hillburn, N.Y., and is with the New York State Police, waiting for family to take him home, Dublin police public affairs officer Sue Burness said.
Staple told the Ohio trooper he was headed to Long Island, N.Y.
