LANCASTER, Ohio – A volunteer firefighter pled not guilty to a charge that he set fire to a Lancaster restaurant.
Police say Robert Steiner, 35, surrendered yesterday to face a felony charge of aggravated arson charges nearly three weeks after allegedly torching the Fiesta Tropicana restaurant.
Steiner is on leave from his job as a firefighter in Hocking Township because of the charges.
Police say Steiner started a fire in the vent of the men’s restroom at the restaurant on January 3.
He was being held on $250,000 bond after appearing in Fairfield County Municipal Court.
