Four arrested in woman’s death

CIRCLEVILLE, Ohio – Four people are behind bars in connection with the beating death of a Circleville woman.

Police arrested Cameron Eby, Nicole Leasure and two juveniles yesterday on aggravated rioting charges.

They’re accused of being part of a crowd of people who attacked Brittany Jeffers Wednesday.

Jeffers, 21, died of her injuries yesterday, less than 12 hours after she was severely beaten in apparent retaliation for her mother’s tip about a burglary suspect in their neighborhood.

Police said Jeffers was attacked during a large brawl on Walnut Street and left for dead in the middle of the road.
