COLUMBUS, Ohio – A busy three-day weekend helped boost revenue at central Ohio’s casinos last month.
Ohio gaming regulators say the Hollywood Casino Columbus brought in more than $18 million, while Scioto Downs hauled in $11 million. Both figures are increases over January’s revenue, in part because of the traditionally busy President’s Day weekend.
According to the monthly report from the Ohio Casino Control Commission, the Hollywood Casino Columbus art W. Broad Street and Georgesville Road brought in $18.48 million in February, compared with $18.26 million in January and $17.94 million in December.
The Horseshoe Casino in Cleveland hauled in $22 million in February, an increase of nearly 7 percent over January.
Toledo’s Hollywood Casino brought in $14.7 million, compared with $14.5 million in January.
The Horseshoe Casino in Cincinneti earned $227,000 on some pre-opening events but did not officially open to the public until this month.
