Husband charged with scalding wife

COLUMBUS, Ohio – A West Side woman was badly scalded when she says her husband threw a pot of boiling water at her during an argument last week.

Police officers responding to a report of a female crying in the area of 79 N. Hague Avenue at 2:50 a.m. found Tonya Collins suffering from second- and third-degree burns over her body.

Tonya Collins, 37, told police her husband, James Collin, threw a large pot of boiling water on her after having an argument on August 8,. Assault Unit investigators said.

James Collins, 43, was arrested at his home at 187 N. Harris Avenue and charged with felonious assault.
