COLUMBUS, Ohio – Jonathan Toews and Patrick Kane both scored in the shootout as the Blackhawks clipped the Blue Jackets 2-1 in Columbus Thursday night.
The Blue Jackets have suffered back-to-back 2-1 shootout losses after a five-game winning streak but set a new franchise record by recording a point in nine consecutive games.
Jack Johnson scored the lone goal and Artem Anisimov lit the lamp in the shootout for the Blue Jackets.
Sergei Bobrovsky kicked aside 39 shots but allowed goals on both shootout attempts to suffer the loss.
