Killer of adult book store guard executed

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The killer of a northeast Ohio security guard has been put to death, according to the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections.

Frederick Treesh was executed via lethal injection at the Southern Ohio Correctional Facility in Lucasville shortly after 10:30 a.m., nearly 20 years after he gunned down Henry Dupree during a robbery at an Eastlake adult book store.

Treesh had claimed a drug addiction led him to steal and kill, but the Ohio Parole Board recommended against clemency on Feb. 8 and Gov. John Kasich denied the request last week.
