Man shot inside South Side apartment

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Columbus police are investigating a murder on the city’s South Side.

Officers responding to reports of gunfire just after 7:45 p.m. found Carnel Al-Sherod Overby, 20, inside an apartment at 220 Highview Landing suffering from gunshot wounds.

He died later at Grant Medical Center.

Detectives say there was no forced entry into the apartment, but they have no suspects or motive.
