BELLEFONTAINE, Ohio – A Logan County man is in jail, accused of a string of sexual assaults dating back to the 1990s.
Robert Wintersteller, 44, is facing a host of charges, including rape, sexual battery and gross sexual imposition and there are concerns that he has more victims, Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine said.
“This man sexually assaulted these victims repeatedly over a period of two decades, and we fear that they are not the only ones. There could be other victims who are now adults, and we urge anyone with additional information to come forward so that we can prosecute this suspect to the fullest extent,” DeWine said.
Wintersteller was indicted Thursday on four felony counts of rape, four felony counts of sexual battery, six felony counts of gross sexual imposition, and one felony count of importuning, as well as misdemeanor charges of domestic violence and intimidation of a crime victim, DeWine said.
Wintersteller pleaded not guilty and a judge set his bond at $250,000.
