OSU fans: Beat the crowds

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Anticipating another large crowd and an early start time, Buckeye men’s basketball fans arriving early for tonight’s game against Iowa are being offered discounts on food, drinks and merchandise.

Athletics Department officials e-mailed a 50% discount on food and non-alcoholic beverage orders between 5:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. and another for 22% off merchandise purchases at the Official Team Shop.

Tip-off is 6:30 p.m. Doors are scheduled to open at 5:00.

Traffic is expected to be heavy with limited public parking immediately around Value City Arena.

Fans are encouraged to allow extra travel time and be prepared to use the additional campus lots at St. John Arena and Ohio Stadium.

Shuttles will run from the Buckeye Lots north of the arena, accessible off Ackerman Road.

Alternate routes in and out of the area:

Olentangy River Road, I-71, or High Street.

Alternate exits from SR-315:

-From the south: Medical Center Drive, Ackerman Road, North Broadway

-From the north: North Broadway, Ackerman Road, Kinnear/King
