Former Pittsburgh Steelers receiver Hines Ward is following up his acting experience in “The Dark Knight Rises” with an appearance as a zombie on AMC’s hit TV show “The Walking Dead.”

“Just being in makeup preparing me for my role was cool. I actually scared myself when I looked in the mirror for the first time after,” Ward told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

Ward will appear when “The Walking Dead” returns to Sunday nights beginning Feb. 10.
