COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Crew were shutout for a second straight contest as they lost to the Colorado Rapids, 2-0, Saturday.
This was coming off a 1-0 defeat at the hands of New York.
Former Crew striker Edson Buddle put the visitors ahead in the eighth-minute and the Rapids doubled their advantage through a Dillon Powers strike in the 69th minute.
The Crew (3-4-3, 12 pts.) head out on a two-match road swing, starting with Toronto FC Saturday (5:00 p.m./FOX Sports Ohio) at Toronto’s BMO Field in the first of three Trillium Cup matches this year.
