COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Buckeyes meet Arizona in the Sweet 16 of the NCAA men’s basketball tournament at the STAPLES Center in Los Angeles tonight.
The game tips at 7:47 p.m. and can be seen on TBS.
The Buckeyes advanced to the West regional semifinals with wins over Iowa State and Iona, while the 6th-seeded Wildcats defeated Harvard and Belmont.
Second-seeded Ohio State is riding a 10-game winning streak that dates back to Feb. 20, which can be credited, at least in part, to the contributions of supporting players like LaQuinton Ross and Shannon Scott.
“It’s not always been scoring, it’s not always been the most flashy of things but it’s been great. Everyone kind of really taking it to heart, what they need to do for this team to be successful,” junior guard Aaron Craft said.
“Guys quit asking questions in their minds and just started playing basketball,” head coach Thad Matta said.
OSU is looking to make to the Elite Eight for a second straight season; the Buckeyes are the only active team to reach the Sweet 16 four years in a row.
In other NCAA action (9) Wichita State plays (13) La Salle in the other West region semi.
In the East Region in Washington, D.C., (2) Miami-Florida faces (3) Marquette and (1) Indiana takes on (4) Syracuse.
