Tina Turner seeking citizenship in Switzerland

Singer Tina Turner says she’s renouncing her U.S. citizenship to instead become a citizen of Switzerland, according to media reports.

Turner, born in Tennessee, has been living in Zurich since the 1990s, but according to TMZ, she wants to make it a bit more permanent.

A Swiss newspaper is reporting that the country has already accepted Turner’s request for citizenship, but Turner’s rep, contacted by TMZ, said she was still trying to reach out to Turner for clarification.
