Wife shot by husband at Mormon temple dies

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Upgraded charges are expected as early as today against a man accused of shooting his wife at a Columbus Mormon temple on the West Side in February.

Sokkha Chant shot his wife, Soth Sin, and himself in the parking lot of the Columbus Ohio Temple on Gateway Drive on Feb. 26.

Sin, 33, died of her injuries last night and police now say the case will be turned over to a Franklin County grand jury.

Chant had been charged with felonious assault.
