Woman accused of child molesting

COLUMBUS, Ohio – A Vinton County woman is in jail, facing a dozen charges that she molested a child under 13.

Cassandra Holsinger, 28, was indicted Thursday by a grand jury on three counts each of rape, sexual battery, gross sexual imposition, and kidnapping, Attorney General Mike DeWine, Vinton County Prosecutor Trecia Kimes-Brown and Sheriff Shawn Justice announced.

“Sexual assault cases involving female perpetrators happen, but they aren’t always reported,” Justice said.

“The acts this woman is accused of committing are absolutely sickening,” DeWine said.

Colsinger is in custody at the Southeastern Ohio Regional Jail.
