Woman shot on bus expected to live
COLUMBUS, Ohio – A 39-year-old woman is expected to survive being shot while riding a COTA bus Tuesday afternoon.
Amy Develvis was riding the No. 4 bus northbound on N. 4th Street at E. 8th Avenue just before 3:45 p.m. when several stray bullets ripped through the bus, one of them striking her in the head, Columbus police said.
There’s no word of any arrests but detectives say a red Chevy Impala with a partially shot-out rear window was seeing driving away from the scene, Assault Unit detectives said.
Develvis is in critical condition at the OSU Wexner Medical Center.
