You At Your Best

My “You at Your Best” Story
My “You at Your Best” Story

I can’t believe it! It’s the last night of the Winter Blues Wellness program with Trisha and the girls of “You at You Best” at Premier at Sawmill Athletic Club!!! Let me tell you about my first experience with “You at Your Best”…

It was this summer, and we were going to do six weeks of Body Pump! I had not exercised for over 20 years, except to put food in my mouth and sit at work, at home…wherever. After the first Body Pump class, I thought I was going to die. Everything HURT…EVERYTHING! And the next day was WORSE!

But I kept going, and by the fourth class, I noticed I was starting to lose weight, and I could really see it in my face! From that moment, and that moment alone, I decided to start exercising again. I now go six days a week! I wish I had been brave enough to have had someone take a “before” picture of me, but it just didn’t happen!

Yesterday I put on a pair of pants that I had worn last winter. Well, do you know that picture of the man holding up his “before” pants? That was me!! My pants were so big, baggy, and dragging on the ground! I couldn’t believe it! I did a little happy dance and called a friend.

So far, I’ve lost 34 pounds and I’m still going strong! This last “You at Your Best” workout series was four weeks, and so well worth my going out each Tuesday night for something different, meeting new people, laughing with (and at) each other. Rolling our eyes, asking… “You want us to do WHAT???” “You’re kidding, RIGHT??!!”

I definitely want to thank WSNY, The Ohio Orthopedic Center of Excellence, Premier at Sawmill Athletic Club and of course, Trisha Moore. Ladies, if you ever have the chance to take the “You at Your Best” workout workshops, do it! I’m so glad I did.
