How do you make a fresh start? That’s the question I asked myself at the end of 2012. Since making the You at Your Best commitment in the spring, I’ve become a better person in SO many ways. I conquered so many challenges and never did want it to be all about my weight. Mission accomplished. But…as I prepared to close the book on last year, I still didn’t feel like I’d been able to make the impact I’d been hoping for in physical ways.
While I have gone down a pant size, I’m not near where I want to be. I can only imagine there are others out there that feel the same. So, I’ve decided that it’s time to step it up and hold myself accountable for my actions. So many great women have come in to my path since You at Your Best became a reality and now I want to prove to you that I have the stamina and the willpower to keep on that path and make a health goal for myself. My new friend Marcia Kidwell so inspired me at the end of the year, and it was enough for me to ask for help. Enter THE TRISHA PROJECT.
I can’t tell you how grateful I am for Premier at Sawmill Athletic Club! In all my years of gym memberships (and believe me, I’ve been through a lot), never have I felt so comfortable in a workout facility. I actually don’t feel the intimidation I have in the past at other gyms and can concentrate on getting my workout done! My goal is to take off the post-divorce weight once in for all. I’ve gained at least 50 pounds since 2007 and while I’ve had a blast putting it on, I know it’s going to be tough to get it off!
THE TRISHA PROJECT is a program that I asked James (Personal Training Director at Premier) to put together for me and it will be a series of personal training workouts with him, classes with my friends, menu changes, and most importantly ACCOUNTABILITY! Over the next 8 weeks, I’ll be tracking every detail of my journey and I’m asking you to come along with me. My goal is to lose 15 pounds and 5% body fat in my first 8 weeks, and I’ll be sharing my success with before and after pictures, too! (Heaven help me! J) I’m gonna do this in front of the whole world! Now that is some accountability! haha
The great thing about THE TRISHA PROJECT is that it will be available to you, too! That‘s the great thing about Premier, their personal trainers really do make it personal! You’re not just another ticket and they will take the time you need to put together a program that works for you and your lifestyle. Most of all, they make working out FUN!!
