2025 Sunny 95 Girl Scout Cookie Buyout – Official Contest Rules
Beginning 12:00am Monday, 02/10/2025 until 4:59pm Thursday, 02/27/2025, central Ohio Sunny 95 (WSNY) listeners who are ages 18 and older – and who are a Girl Scout Troop Leader or Girl Scout Parent/Legal Guardian – may enter the “Sunny 95 Girl Scout Cookie Buyout” at Sunny95.com with their full name, full address, date of birth, email address, daytime phone number, specify if they are a parent/guardian of a girl scout and/or a Girl Scout troop leader, and Girl Scout Troop number. One entry per person. Each participant must submit an entry on his/her own behalf. Any entry submitted on behalf of another individual or using another person’s email address or name will be disqualified and ineligible to claim any prize. Any attempt by any participant to obtain more than the stated number of entries allowed by using same, multiple/different email addresses, identities, different IP addresses, or any other methods void that participant’s entries, and that participant may be disqualified. No mechanically reproduced or automated entries permitted. Use of any automated system to participate is prohibited and will result in disqualification and all such entries will be deemed void in Sunny 95’s sole discretion. No purchase necessary.
Beginning on Monday, 02/17/2025, Randi & Rice will randomly select one entrant per morning from all qualified entries and call out that entrant’s name during their morning radio show, Monday, 02/17/25 through Friday, 02/28/2025 at approximately 7:20am. If morning’s entrant calls the WSNY studio back within 10 minutes after announcing their name at 614-459-9769 (WSNY), Sunny 95 will buy 95 boxes of various varieties of Girl Scout Cookies from that entrant’s coordinating troop at an estimated cost of $6.00 per box of cookies. If the first entrant does NOT call back within 10 minutes, Sunny 95 will not award a prize that day and will play again the following weekday with another randomly selected contest entrant. Sunny 95 cannot be held responsible for phone difficulties or the inability of an entrant to reach Sunny 95 at said number. The total approximate retail value of 95 boxes of Girl Scout Cookies is $570.00. The 95-box purchase is not to exceed $570.00 total.
For any contest requiring phone entry you must use only the following number unless otherwise specified: (614) 459-9769. The person processing inbound calls and/or texts at Sunny 95 has the final decision as to who is the winning entrant.
Anytime you call the Sunny 95 studios you assume that your call will be broadcast or recorded, and you grant us permission to broadcast the call or record it for later broadcast.
As a winner of a Sunny 95 contest your voice, name and/or picture may be used for promotional, broadcast, or internet purposes without any compensation to you.
Sunny 95 shall have no responsibility for contestant’s inability or failure to participate, failure to win or claim any prize based on malfunction or difficulties with telephone, cell phone, texting, email, or internet access, or any other circumstances in any contest beyond Sunny 95’s control.
Due to the nature of our programs that are heard on-line over the internet, contests may not be heard at all on Sunny 95. Contests heard on the radio station’s internet audio stream may be slightly delayed from the time the contests are heard on the broadcast station and will be running behind the broadcast signal. Thus, all contests heard on the internet are delayed. This delay can last for as much as 30 seconds or more. This means that when Sunny 95 contests are played that require a specific caller to telephone the radio station (such as “Caller number 9 when you hear the sound effect”), listeners to the online audio stream may be at a disadvantage in participating over those listeners who hear the contests on-air.
A member from the Sunny 95 promotions team will follow up with each winner to discuss details of the cookie purchase. Sunny 95 will make reasonable efforts to award prizes withing 30 days after winning. Sunny 95’s sole responsibility will be to award the prize and will have no further responsibility in connection with the prize if the prize winner, for any reason, cannot or decides not to use any of the prizes. Prizes are not transferrable or redeemable for cash.
Sunny 95 contests are open to all eligible central Ohio listeners aged 18 or older that have not won anything on Sunny 95 in the past 30 days or any prize valued at $600 or more in the past 6 months. Only one winner per household is permitted within 30 days after a household has a winner. Any prize awarded to an ineligible listener will be deemed null and void, and an alternate eligible winner may be named.
Employees of Sunny 95, The C-bus Media Group, Franklin Communications, Inc., and its ultimate parent company, Saga Communications, Inc., their advertising agencies, affiliates, contest sponsors, employees and immediate families of each, and employees of all media of mass communication within a one-hundred-mile radius of the main studio are not eligible to win any contest. Immediate family includes the spouse, great-grandparents, grandparents, parents, brothers, sisters, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren of the employee and his/her spouse. This also includes individuals for whom the employee is current legal guardian. No purchase necessary.
