The Odyssey Program at Cleveland State University’s School of Film & Media Arts offers a variety of immersive summer camps for high school students (aged 13-18) interested in filmmaking. Through interactive workshops, film screenings, focused activities, and visits from special guest speakers, Odyssey participants learn storytelling, screenwriting, acting, directing, cinematography, editing, and much more as they create their own original films and projects in a fun and collaborative environment. The Our Lady of Bethlehem Summer Program: Spend summer days on our beautiful campus making new friends, enjoying the outdoors, sharpening reading, math and science skills and building religious faith. Our summer program is designed for children entering Preschool (age 3) through Grade 6. Choose from 2, 3, 4, or 5 day options June 6th-August 19th, Monday-Friday, 7am-6pm. Actors’ Theatre of Columbus: Led by Education Director Beth Josephsen, The Globe School returns to Schiller Park to offer Shakespeare training at every learning level. Facilitated by a variety of expert ATC artist educators, campers will experience multiple aspects of what goes into putting on a show from acting, improv, play creation, costume, and scenic design, movie making, and more! GrooveU: Students ages 11-19 are invited to spend a week in the producer’s chair at GROOVE U’s $1.2M Creative Campus and experience what it’s like to learn, work, and create alongside industry professionals and other creatives in state-of-the-art studios. Work on original songs, record with professional musicians, and develop your stagecraft by performing or mixing a live-in-studio performance. Register for our beginner or advanced sections here.

 

Camp Nuhop: Located in southern Ashland County, Ohio, Camp Nuhop is a week-long residential summer camp and respite program for children diagnosed with (but not limited to) ASD, ADHD, learning disabilities, mood disorders, and other neurodiversities. Camp Nuhop provides a structured environment where all campers have the opportunity to make friends and feel good about themselves. Our mission is to provide a safe, nurturing, and dynamic learning environment where children are empowered to succeed. Columbus Children’s Theatre: At CCT, we take a holistic approach to theatre education. Each week of camp will give students both onstage performance experience as well as backstage production experience in theatrical disciplines like scenic design, costuming, and more. We believe this creates a well-rounded educational experience and encourages imaginative curiosity for students of all ages and experience levels. Apart from learning about the art of theatre, students will grow invaluable life skills such as confidence, communication, and collaboration. All we ask is that your students bring lunch and snack along with their own passion and excitement for learning! We will have a nut-free table available at lunch and snack time. Summer Camp Sweepstakes 2022 – Official Rules

Beginning at 6am Tuesday, 03/01/2022 through 11:59pm Thursday, 03/31/2022 listeners 18 and over may register at Sunny95.com and MyMix1079.com for the chance to win a free week-long  trip to a summer camp of their choice selected from one of the official promotional partners listed below:

  • Our Lady of Bethlehem Summer Program
  • The Odyssey Program at Cleveland State University’s School of Film & Media Arts

Entrants will be required to enter their full name, home address, phone number, email address, birthdate, child’s first name, last name, child’s date of birth, and specify from a dropdown menu which summer camp they would prefer their child to attend. One (1) entry per person. Attempting more than the stated entries may disqualify the entrant in sole discretion of Sunny 95 and Mix 107.9. No purchase necessary.

At approximately 9:00am Friday, 04/01/2022, a representative from Sunny 95 and Mix 107.9 will randomly choose from among all qualified entries one (1) winner to receive one (1) of the following summer camp packages of their choice from one (1) of the promotional partners listed below. The winner will be called on Friday, 04/01/2022 to confirm their award. The winner’s name and city of residence will be posted on Sunny95.com and MyMix1079.com after confirmation has been made.

This contest is being conducted concurrently and simultaneously with radio stations in Columbus, Ohio affiliated with Columbus Radio Group and listeners of said stations will then be competing to win the same prize.

The Prize is based upon each camp’s current availability. Winner may choose to attend one (1) of the following camps from our list of partners. If winner’s first camp choice is unavailable, winner may choose a secondary camp option from the remaining camps from our list of partners. If winner’s secondary choice is unavailable, a third camp option will be granted and so on. The Prize is only valid in 2022. The winner may choose to attend one (1) of the following camps:

 

Our Lady of Bethlehem Summer Program

  • Winner will receive free registration, valued at $100.00, for one student for the 2022 Summer Program. Weekly Summer Program tuition will remain at current rates and is charged bi-weekly from June through August, Monday through Friday 7am-6pm. Families have flexibility in the number of days per week that their child can participate from 2-5 days per week. (2 days = $205, 3 days = $225, 4 days = $245, & 5 days = $265 per week). Families are responsible for weekly camp costs. The Our Lady of Bethlehem Summer Program is designed for children aged three through Grade 6. Camp location is 4567 Olentangy River Road, Columbus, OH 43214. Prize is dependent on availability.

 

The Odyssey Program at Cleveland State University’s School of Film & Media Arts

  • The Odyssey Intensive: Acting and Directing package includes 7 days/6 nights beginning July 11, 2021 – July 17, 2021. Cost includes meals, supplies, and lodging for one (1) individual. Total approximate retail value is $1500.00. Program is for students aged 13-18 years old. Camp location is 1375 Euclid Ave, Suite 600 Cleveland, Ohio 44115. Prize is dependent on availability.
  • The Odyssey Intensive: Documentary Production package includes 7 days/6 nights beginning July 18, 2021 – July 24, 2021. Cost includes meals, supplies, and lodging for one (1) individual. Total approximate retail value is $1500.00. Program is for students aged 13-18 years old. Camp location is 1375 Euclid Ave, Suite 600 Cleveland, Ohio 44115. Prize is dependent on availability.
  • The Odyssey Intensive: Screenwriting package includes 7 days/6 nights beginning July 25, 2021 – July 31, 2021. Cost includes meals, supplies, and lodging for one (1) individual. Total approximate retail value is $1500.00. Program is for students aged 13-18 years old. Camp location is 1375 Euclid Ave, Suite 600 Cleveland, Ohio 44115. Prize is dependent on availability.

The Actors Theatre of Columbus

  • Winner will receive one (1) week of camp between June 6, 2022 – August 19, 2022, including adult camps. Camp is for children from grades 1-12. Prize is dependent on camp availability. Total value of one (1) week of camp is $250.00. Camp location is 1000 City Park Avenue, Columbus, OH 43206. Campers can choose from one of several themed weeks depending on availability including:

GrooveU

  • Winner will receive a one (1) week summer workshop based upon age. The beginner section is for those students ages 11-16 and is valued at $399.99. The advanced section is for students ages 15-19 and is valued at $799.00. Students between the ages of 15 and 16 years old can choose either section depending on skill level. Both section run June 6-10, 2022. Beginner section is from 9am – 1pm. Advanced section is from 9am – 6pm. Camp location is 5030 Bradenton Ave. Dublin, OH 43017. Prize is dependent on availability.

Camp Nuhop

  • Winner will receive one (1) week at Traditional Camp valued at $1,050.00. Camp is for children between ages 8-18 years old and designed for children with Learning Differences, ADHD diagnoses, and Autism Spectrum Diagnoses. Traditional Camp weeks are from June 12-17, June 19-24, June 26-July 1, July 10-15, July 17-22, and July 24-29. Prize is dependent on camp availability. Camp location is 1077 Township Road 2916 Perrysville, Ohio 44864.

Columbus Children’s Theatre Camp

  • Winner will receive one (1) week at themed camp of their choosing, depending on availability. Four (4) day camps are valued at $280.00 and five (5) day camps are valued at $350.00. Camp runs weekdays from 8:30am – 5:30 pm. Camps are all located at 177 E Naghten St, Columbus, OH 43215. Campers can choose from one of several themed weeks depending on availability including:
    • Bluey and Bingo: June 6-10 – Ages 5-8, M-F, 8:30am-5:30pm
    • Maleficent & The Descendants: June 13-17 – Ages 5-15, M-F, 8:30am-5:30pm
    • Wait For It…: June 20-24 – Ages 10-15, M-F, 8:30am-5:30pm
    • Songs and Costumes of Cinderella: June 27-July 1 – Ages 5-15, M-F, 8:30am-5:30pm
    • Cosplay All Day: July 5-8 ­– Ages 10-15, T-F, 8:30am-5:30pm
    • Let It Go: July 1115 – Ages 5-15, M-F, 8:30am-5:30pm
    • The World of Harry Potter: July 18-22 – Ages 5-15, M-F, 8:30am-5:30pm
    • Moana and Maui: July 25-29 – Ages 5-15, M-F, 8:30am-5:30pm

We will make reasonable efforts to award the Prize within 30 days after winning. Winner will be responsible for any applicable federal and state taxes as well as all fees associated with the prize. Winner must have a valid state ID and complete an IRS Form W-9 to collect the prize. In the event that the prize winner declines acceptance of any of the prizes, prizes are not transferrable or redeemable for cash. Winner must be available to travel and attend the dates of the camp program they choose.

Sunny 95 and Mix 107.9 contests are open to all eligible Columbus, OH residents 18 or older that have not won anything on Sunny 95 or Mix 107.9 in the past 30 days or any prize valued at $600 or more in the past 6 months. Only one winner per household is permitted within 30 days after a household has a winner. Any prize awarded to an ineligible listener will be deemed null and void, and an alternate eligible winner may be named.

The winner will need to follow all COVID guidelines and protocols put into place by the event organizer.

Sunny 95, Mix 107.9, and the Columbus Radio Group are not responsible for any event cancellations or rescheduling.

Employees of Sunny 95, Mix 107.9 Columbus Radio Group, Franklin Communications, Inc, and its ultimate parent company, Saga Communications, Inc., their advertising agencies, affiliates, contest sponsors, employees and immediate families of each, and employees of all media of mass communication within a one-hundred-mile radius of the Sunny 95 and Mix 107.9 main studios are not eligible to win any contest. Immediate family includes the spouse, great-grandparents, grandparents, parents, brothers, sisters, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren of the employee and his/her spouse. This also includes individuals for whom the employee is current legal guardian.

The station’s sole responsibility will be to award the prize and will have no further responsibility in connection with the prize if the prize winner, for any reason, cannot or decides not to use the prize.
