Stalwart Columbus musician Jim Hutter, who has spent 35 years playing with Alternative Rock bands like The Epicureans, The Moops, and The Molars, has moved into yet another field of the arts. On February 17, 2021, Hutter published his very first novel, “Just the Normal Abuse,” ISBN 978-1-716-06726-6. It is a fictionalized account of his 1970’s childhood in the South End of Columbus and his studies under a brilliant but highly abusive teacher.
Hutter will hold a meet-and-greet book signing at Colin’s Coffee, 3714 Riverside Drive in Upper Arlington at noon on Saturday, May 1, 2021. Admission is free. Autographed copies of “Just the Normal Abuse” will be available for $10.00, cash.
Hutter joins other Columbus rockers, including Bela Koe-Krompecher and Joe Oestreich, with creating literary efforts. His novel is published through Lulu Press (lulu.com) and is available through many online outlets, including Amazon and Lulu.
