114th Annual Fundraiser to Ensure All Franklin County School-Aged Children Have The Clothes & Coats Needed to Attend School
COLUMBUS, Ohio – November 1, 2021 – Charity Newsies 2021 paper sale, an annual fundraiser where 100% of the proceeds benefit children in need in Franklin County, will take place on Saturday, December 11, 2021. Charity Newsies vision is to ensure all school-aged children have the clothes and coats they need to go to attend school.
One of the oldest nonprofits in the city of Columbus, Charity Newsies has provided over a half-million children with clothes and coats since 1907. During the annual “Drive Day” over 300 volunteers will be out at various locations throughout the city, in white coveralls, selling special editions of the Columbus Dispatch and collecting monetary donations.
All monies collected on Paper Sale Day go directly to the purchasing of clothes and coats for children in need, and annually this one-day fundraiser raises more than $300,000.
WHAT: Charity Newsies Annual Paper Sale – where 100% of the proceeds raised will go directly to purchasing clothing and coats for children in need.
WHEN: Saturday, December 11, 2021 from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm
