New toys, furniture, vintage goods and clothing for the entire family are just a few of the treasures attendees will find at the largest sale of the year, the 69th annual Junior League of Columbus (JLC) Bargain Box sale presented by Big Lots.
Bargain Box, a project of the Junior League of Columbus, is the largest new and gently used merchandise sale in the city. Bargain Box is one of the oldest fundraisers in Central Ohio. Since its inception in 1949, Bargain Box has raised nearly $2 million to support community programs, such as Adopt-a-Backpack for Children, Kids in the Kitchen and the historic Kelton House and Garden. This year’s event will be held on October 20-22 at 2855 Olentangy River Rd., Columbus, OH 43202.
The shopping extravaganza kicks off on Friday with a pre-sale from 6 – 9 p.m. on October 20. The pre-sale event is perfect for those who wish to get the first chance to shop. For only $10, guest will have access to a wide array of new, gently used and one-of-a- kind merchandise.
Shoppers in search of the best deal must come to the main event on October 21 starting at 9 a.m. Admission is free and the deals are even better, with prices drastically reduced by 50 percent. This year, the sale will be extended for a third day, Sunday, October 22 from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. for any last-minute customers.
