In television today, women both in front of the camera and off screen are making tremendous contributions to the sci-fi, fantasy, and horror genres. In honor of their amazing work, a group of passionate fans decided to create a brand-new convention to celebrate these women, focusing on and showcasing women in the sci-fi and horror television genres.
WiSHCon, short for Women In Sci-fi and Horror Convention, is new to the convention circuit and was started in 2015 by fans for fans. WiSHCon will be a 3-day jam-packed convention located in Columbus, Ohio, USA and will include guest panels, exclusive photo ops, autographs, costume contests, unique events for children, and nightly parties. WiSHCon will also have an exclusive vendors area filled with crafters from the region and beyond. Even though this convention is to showcase women in television, it is welcome and open to all fans.
