For over 20 years, Martin Kestner has served with the Columbus Division of Police. He has served with the Patrol Unit, was a detective in the Assault Squad, and currently works as a detective with the Homicide Unit. In addition to his work, Martin joined the Columbus Police and Fire Pipes & Drums in 2003. The organization was formed primarily to honor fallen police officers and firefighters. In 2008, Martin assumed the role of Pipe Major, leading the pipes & drums.
