Dan Alward is a husband, father, and has been a firefighter and EMT for West Licking Joint Fire District for the past 14 years. Dan is not only a hero to his community but also to his colleagues. When fellow firefighter Seth Coakley was sick, Dan got tested and found out he was a match to donate his kidney to Seth. The surgery was performed in April and was a success. Dan gave Seth a new chance at life and they will forever be brothers.
