LANCASTER, Ohio – Slippery road conditions may be to blame for a crash involving a Fairfield County emergency vehicle responding to an auto accident Sunday morning, which sent three firefighters to the hospital.
The three Pleasant Township firefighters are listed in stable condition after the truck they were riding in slid off the road and hit a utility pole.
The vehicle was responding to an accident reported at 8:33 a.m. when their vehicle went off the road at Coonpatch Road NE and Old Millersport Road northeast of Lancaster.
