COLUMBUS – Two people in Franklin County are among three deaths from the COVID-19 virus reported in Ohio in the past 24 hours.
Franklin County Public Health reported the first death in its jurisdiction, an 84-year-old woman. No other information was released about the patient Monday.

An 85-year-old Columbus man who became ill was hospitalized in Minnesota where he subsequently died, Columbus Public Health officials reported. The case was reported back to Columbus Public Health because he was a Columbus resident.
The man has a history of international travel.

Franklin County Public Health reported 19 confirmed cases in the area of the county outside the cities of Columbus and Worthington, which report 28 cases. Those cities are served by Columbus Public Health.
Ten of the Franklin County Public Health cases are males and 9 are females. The patients range in age from 2 to 84.
The state health department reported six deaths in Ohio and 442 total cases in 46 counties.
That includes more than 50 confirmed cases in central Ohio.
