COLUMBUS – Police are looking for suspects in two fatal shooting incidents over the weekend.
Officers responding to a reported shooting in the area of E. 19th and Gladstone Avenues at 7:40 p.m. found Jerry Campbell III inside of a vehicle suffering from a gunshot wound, Sgt. Eric Pilya of the Columbus police Homicide Unit.
Campbell, 21, was taken to OhioHealth Grant Medical Center where he later died.
A witness reported that a man fired into the vehicle and fled on foot, Pilya said.
Kevin Sobnosky died Sunday afternoon after being shot early in the morning while riding with three other men in a vehicle in the 1400 block of N. Cassady Avenue just before 4:00 a.m., according to Sgt. James Marable of the Homicide Unit.
Sobnosky, 21, died at 4:17 p.m. at a local hospital, Marable said.
These were the 119th and 120th homicides of 2022 in Columbus.
