2nd missing man’s body recovered

COLUMBUS – The Franklin County coroner has confirmed a body found in the Olentangy River Thursday is that of an 18-year-old man who has been missing since last Saturday.

According to WBNS 10-TV, police found the body of Joseph Welch a day after recovering that of his 20-year-old half-brother.

The bodies were discovered about three miles south of where Welch and Anthony Martin went into the water at the Dodridge Dam last Saturday and were swept away by the strong current.

The dive team found Welch’s body not far from where Martin’s body was pulled from a sand bar in the Olentangy River, between State Route 315 and I-670, near downtown Columbus, Wednesday.
