Clippers 6, Bats 5

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Clippers rallied to earn a 6-5 walk-off win over Louisville Monday night and move into a tie for second place in the International League West Division.

After trailing the Bats 5-2 heading into bottom of the seventh inning, Columbus narrowed the gap to 5-4 on an RBI single by Francisco Lindor in the seventh and Audy Ciriaco in the eighth.

In the bottom of the ninth, Jesus Aguilar tripled to center field to score Lindor, who had led off the inning with a single, and Jerry Sands brought home Brett Hayes, who was pinch-running for Aguilar, with the winning run.

It was the third straight win for Columbus, which had stumbled in the closing days of May.

Dustin Mollekin (4-0) pitched the eighth and ninth innings to pick up the win for the Clippers who host Louisville again Tuesday night.
