LOUISVILLE – Two Louisville errors fueled a three-run rally in the sixth inning that gave the Clippers a 7-6 comeback win over the Bats at Louisville Slugger Field Saturday.
Brayan Rocchio stole third and came in to score the winning run on a throwing error by catcher Mark Kolozsvary.
A bad throw by pitcher Kyle Dowdy on Rocchio’s bunt single allowed Mitchell Tolman to score and moved Will Brennan to third. Brennan scored the tying run on a sacrifice fly by Bo Naylor.
TJ Hopkins gave the Bats a 6-4 lead with a three-run home run in the fifth inning.
Gabriel Arias hit a two-run homer for Columbus.
Kevin Kelly (2-0) got the win for the Clippers while Dowdy (1-3) took the loss.
