Alex Call’s three-run home run broke a 6-6 tie in the eighth to give Columbus its fifth straight win in the six-game series.
Trenton Brooks hit a two-run homer in the third.
Andrew Misiaszek (1-0) got the win.
The Clippers return home to host Nashville Monday night in the opener of a 12-game home stand at Huntington Park.
