COLUMBUS – Bryan Lavastida’s three-run home run with two outs in the bottom of the seventh inning gave the Clippers a 9-8 come-from-behind victory in the final game of a series with the St. Paul Saints Sunday at Huntington Park.
Columbus split a doubleheader with the Saints, who won the first game 1-0.
With Columbus trailing 8-4 entering the final frame of the series, Gabriel Arias drove in two runs with a double to right before Lavastida hit the game-winning blast off losing pitcher Vinny Nittoli (0-1).
