COLUMBUS (AP) — Jared McCann scored twice to power the Pittsburgh Penguins past the new-look Blue Jackets 5-2 in a key matchup between Metropolitan Division rivals battling for a playoff spot.
Matt Murray made 21 saves as the Penguins snapped a two-game skid.
Jake Guentzel, Evgeni Malkin and Sidney Crosby also scored for Pittsburgh.
The Pens took a one-point lead over the Blue Jackets in the division standings and pulled even with Carolina with 74 points.
