Police arrest murder suspects

COLUMBUS – Police have charged three additional suspects, including two teens, in connection with a pair of murders committed in Columbus this year and arrested a second man in connection with the shooting death of a Columbus city employee.

Nuur Ali Hassan, 17, is in custody, charged with murder in the Feb. 21 slaying of Josie Papay Kamara, who was killed when someone opened fire during an argument inside an apartment at 3572 Greenwich Street.

Sincere McIntyre, also 17, was charged with murder and two counts of aggravated robbery in a double shooting that left a 26-year-old woman dead on May 20, Sgt. Eric Pilya of the Homicide Unit said.

Courtney Bruce was in a car with another woman in the 3700 block of Dort Place when they were assaulted by a group of males armed with handguns and shots were fired, Pilya said.

Bruce was wounded and died later at Mount Carmel East Hospital.

McIntyre remains at large but Jumada Williams, 23, was arrested on charges of murder and aggravated robbery in connection with Bruce’s death.

Kyson Murphy, 22, was charged with murder and aggravated robbery previously for his role in the shooting and was in custody, Pilya said.

Ivan Netter was arrested in a home on E. 16th Avenue Thursday by SWAT officers in connection with the shooting death of a 45-year-old woman on the Northeast Side on July 18, Pilya said.

Netter, 24, was charged with murder and felonious assault in the death of Tearicka Cradle, 45, in a home on Jane Avenue.

Lonnie Davis, 29, had previously been arrested for his role in the shooting, Pilya said.
